Tips Before You Visit
The two “Tennozu Isle Stations” are separate
Both the Tokyo Monorail Haneda Airport Line and the Rinkai Line have a station named Tennozu Isle, but they are located 3–5 minutes apart on foot. Use the Monorail for Haneda Airport; use the Rinkai Line for Shinjuku, Shibuya, or Shin-Kiba.
SeaFort Square keeps you dry on rainy days
SeaFort Square’s atrium-centered layout connects the theatre to nearby dining options via covered indoor walkways. The venue is also directly accessible from the Tokyo Monorail Central Gate, so you can reach the theatre without an umbrella even in heavy rain.
The Rinkai Line can be crowded after performances
After major performances, Tennozu Isle Station on the Rinkai Line can get congested. Toei Bus Route 28 toward Shinagawa Station is a useful alternative — buses depart from Shinagawa Station Konan Exit and take approximately 10 minutes to reach Tennozu Isle.
Book canal-side restaurants in advance on weekends
Popular waterfront spots such as T.Y. HARBOR and breadworks can be difficult to enter without a reservation on weekend evenings. If you plan to dine before or after the performance, booking ahead is strongly recommended.
Allow time to explore the Tennozu Isle art district
The Tennozu Isle area features several art galleries — including WHAT MUSEUM — housed in renovated former warehouses. Allowing time before or after the performance to explore the district is a rewarding complement to an evening at the theatre.
