Tips Before You Visit
Renovation Closure
Millennium Hall is closed for renovation from April 2025 through the end of October 2026. The scheduled reopening date is November 15, 2026. Confirm availability on the official website before planning any event or visit.
Iriya Morning Glory Festival (July)
The Iriya Asagao Matsuri (Morning Glory Festival) is held in early July around Iriya Station. The area around the station becomes very congested from early morning. Allow at least 30 extra minutes when traveling to or from the venue during this period.
Kappabashi Kitchen Town Nearby
Kappabashi Kitchen Town (Kappabashi Dougu-gai) is within a 5-minute walk of the venue. This wholesale street specializing in commercial kitchen equipment and tableware is busiest on weekdays from around 9:00 to 17:00. Factor in foot traffic if you are passing through during business hours.
Fewer Crowds Than Central Asakusa
Nishi-Asakusa is located more than 1 km from the main tourist drag around Senso-ji Temple (Kaminarimon Gate and Nakamise Shopping Street). Weekend tourist congestion has relatively little impact on this neighborhood, even during peak travel seasons such as cherry blossom season (March–April) or Golden Week (late April–early May).
