Tips Before You Visit

Pedestrian Zone and Crowds on Weekends and Holidays

The central Akihabara shopping street in front of UDX becomes a pedestrian zone from 12:00 to 18:00 on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. During major anime or gaming events, the surrounding area can become very crowded. Weekday scheduling or early-morning arrival is advisable for events drawing large attendees.

Covered Route in Wet Weather

From JR Akihabara Station’s Electric Town Exit, you can follow the first-floor covered arcade of AKIHABARA CROSS FIELD (AKIBA ICHI) to reach UDX with minimal exposure to rain. Worth sharing with attendees when inclement weather is forecast.

Reserve Parking in Advance

The UDX underground car park accommodates 800 vehicles and operates 24 hours, but fills quickly on event days. Using a nearby coin parking service with advance reservation, or strongly encouraging public transit for attendees, is recommended.

Route from Tsukuba Express

From Tsukuba Express Akihabara Station Exit A1, the shortest route to UDX passes through AKIBA SQUARE. Combined with JR, Tokyo Metro, and Toei lines, multiple rail lines stop within 3–6 minutes of the venue, making it straightforward for attendees coming from different directions across the Greater Tokyo area.

Post-Event Dining and Bars

The area around Kanda Manseibashi bridge and the Kanda River (approximately 5 minutes on foot from UDX) is quieter at night and has a concentration of distinctive restaurants and bars. Taxis can be boarded directly from the UDX front entrance rotary.
